According to reports, Alibaba’s Tmall Genie team is set to officially unveil its first self-developed AI glasses at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2025) in Shanghai.

The AI glasses are said to include basic features such as a voice assistant, music playback, phone calls, real-time translation, and meeting minutes, and will integrate map, payment, and shopping functions from across the Alibaba ecosystem. The product line will include two variants: an AI smart glasses without a display and an AI+AR smart glasses with a display, with the latter being of higher priority and targeted for an official launch on Double 11 this year.

According to relevant media reports, a model of this product is already on display at Alibaba's Tmall Genie booth during the WAIC 2025 exhibition.

On the hardware front, the glasses adopt a dual-chip architecture, equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 and Maxscend BES2800 chips. In terms of imaging, they feature a 12-megapixel Sony camera, with the camera module supplied by Lijing Innovation, a subsidiary of Luxshare Precision. For the optical solution, the glasses are fitted with two Hummingbird Mini Gen 2 0.15cc single-green Micro LED projectors from JBD, and adopt two surface-relief diffractive waveguides provided by Zhige Technology.
